I've been shouting from the rooftops forever, but it's not until Dr Oz that their ears are opened. It's always behind trust... This person's never let me down. We forget that doctors are just ppl and they don't actually know everything. Putting the ego aside and putting trust in other ppl to care for your ppl. Those ppl close to us know us too well. B.c it will be more powerful and much more effective for them. If I ever tell them to do something, they don't do it or they get frustrated when it doesn't work. Let them uncover their own wisdom. It's been life changing and she hasn't told me to do anything. Shining a light on those blind spots you can't see. With family there is a tendency to just tell them what to do. When you try to shortcut to a solution, you might be missing the deeper issue that's at play. Men want to fix it. When the approach should be to just listen. The only way you're going to grow is to push outside of your boundaries. Go do it, figure it out. That's how you're going to grow. I can't tell you what to do. They always let me figure it out for ourselves. We're finding that this is the generation that are saying things like Black Lives Matter. 00:41:21 Alison Cardy: Really letting my daughter try different things and letting her succeed and fail. Those old models where there was a direct path and instruction model. Anyone who tells you that this is the way that it has to be done is wrong. My career path was not a straight line, it was a windy road, but I wound up where I needed to be. Read the biographies and see if Person A got there the same way as Person B.
